As the name suggests, Hide in Byron Bay was born out of a desire to create a true sanctuary - envisioned not as a traditional hotel, but as a private, secluded estate. Having raised their family in the area, the founders understood intimately how fast-paced life can feel, even in paradise. They sought to capture Byron Bay’s unique, soulful energy, that magnetic pull to slow down, feel well, and live consciously.

With just 12 curated rooms, Hide's intimate scale allows the guest experience to be deliberately simplified. The architecture takes inspiration from Mediterranean warmth, adapted to the lush greenness of Byron hinterland and its serene blue watery enclaves. Clean lines, raw textures, and a soft, tonal palette allow the property to frame nature rather than compete with it, blurring the line between inside and out as rooms have their own private patios and outdoor baths. Wellness abounds with a heated magnesium pool, sauna, hot tub, and cold plunge too, offering plentiful spaces to nourish one's soul.

Hide was born out of a desire to create a true sanctuary - a place where guests could completely disconnect from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with nature and themselves. What makes Hide special is its intimate scale. With just 12 rooms, it feels less like a traditional hotel and more like a private estate. We’ve deliberately simplified the guest experience so that from the moment you step onto the property, the outside world just fades away.

We want our guests to leave feeling deeply restored, grounded, and lighter than when they arrived. There is a specific kind of exhale that happens here - whether you’re spending the morning moving between the magnesium pool and the cold plunge, or just waking up slow to the sound of birds. We want them to carry that sense of stillness and presence back into their daily lives. 

The design is heavily influenced by earthy minimalism, and a Mediterranean warmth, but entirely adapted to the Australian coastal landscape. We focused on clean lines, raw textures, and a soft, tonal palette that mirrors the surrounding environment. It was incredibly important to us that the architecture frame nature rather than compete with it, blurring the lines between the indoors and the beautiful Byron outdoors.

To us, luxury isn't about being flashy or formal; it’s about space, time, thoughtfulness, and tactile comfort. It’s found in the quiet details—the custom-curated wellness amenities, slipping into premium CULTIVER linen at the end of the day, and the absolute high quality of the materials you touch. It’s the luxury of not having to think about anything because every element has already been considered for you.

We raised our family here in Byron Bay and know firsthand how hectic life can get. Because we understand that fast pace, we wanted to build a sanctuary that allows people to completely step away from it. Byron has this unique, magnetic energy that naturally encourages you to slow down and live consciously. Envisioning Hide here felt completely organic; we wanted to capture that iconic, soulful Byron rhythm but offer it in a secluded, highly refined pocket away from the main hustle.

CULTIVER linen is the ultimate finishing touch to the sensory experience at Hide. Because we place such an emphasis on rest and rejuvenation, the bed is the focal point of the guest journey. The effortless elegance, rich textures, and lived-in softness of CULTIVER perfectly align with our design ethos.
