Because we pre-wash our bedding for immediate softness from your very first sleep, our pieces enter your space further along in their lifecycle than stiff, heavy traditional linens of the past. Fitted sheets endure constant friction and body weight, meaning eventual signs of wear reflect regular, deliberate use rather than a material flaw; so adopting the classic European approach of keeping one set on the bed, one in the wash, and one resting in the cupboard allows the natural fibres to recover between uses.
Laundering Your Linen
Washing is a natural process that gradually wears any fabric, so we advocate for a considered, gentle routine. To preserve the integrity of the linen, select a warm machine cycle up to 40°C with an all-natural liquid detergent, ensuring the drum is evenly loaded to limit unnecessary surface friction.
Avoid optical brighteners, bleaching agents, or fabric softeners, as chemical additives coat the flax in synthetic residue that diminishes its innate moisture-wicking properties and tactile softness. Always wash dark tones separately to protect color depth, and remember to try unwashed bedding on your bed first to confirm the fit, as washed items cannot be returned.
Laundering Your Linen
Drying naturally in the shade is the gentlest way to safeguard rich dyes from uneven sun exposure and maintain structural form. If you prefer to tumble dry, select a gentle, warm setting and remove your pieces promptly while still slightly damp to stretch over the bed. Tumble drying also assists in drawing away the excess micro-fibres that naturally shed during the initial lifecycle of linen, a normal occurrence that subsides after the first few washes.
One of linen’s most cherished characteristics is its relaxed drape, so ironing is not required, but should you prefer a crisper finish, a warm iron or steamer used on slightly damp linen will smooth the weave gently without distressing the fibers.
Laundering Your Linen
Mending a seam, reattaching a button, or trimming a loose thread allows your favourite textiles to remain part of your home for years to come. Should a button ever loosen or break, our customer care team is always delighted to provide a replacement.
If a thread loop snags on a linen towel, avoid pulling the yarn; simply snip it flush at the base with sharp scissors without harming the surrounding weave. If there is a simple repair to extend the life of your piece, we encourage you to attempt yourself or take it to a professional.

Because natural mother-of-pearl can be delicate under machine drum friction, always untie internal corner ties and turn your duvet cover inside out prior to washing and drying. The natural softening process during manufacturing may generate some initial shedding or excess lint during early washes, which resolves after a few laundry cycles; simply wash and tumble dry them separately to begin with. Take care when using active cosmetics or skincare, as certain ingredients can cause permanent discoloration, and address any stains immediately before laundering.
